Exciting Stuff - watching epoxy set

Last night I got the first coat of epoxy on the inside surfaces of the aft hull panels. This morning, before leaving for work, I got the second coat down. Tonight, after dinner, the third coat was applied.

Now this is not a particularly exciting photo op (compared to, say, a picture of the boat actually put together) and watching epoxy set is by no means exciting. But, this is a good step forward and I am pleased.

Tomorrow, the forward panels will be coated with epoxy. I also plan to work on the chine logs - experimenting a bit with the finger-joined spruce I bought last weekend. Then the bulkheads need finishing - making the cutouts in BH 2 and 3; and the transom needs to be framed.

I need to purchase some WRC for the gunwale and get that fabricated, along with the inwales. I won't need the inwales right away during the assembly of the hull, but I absolutely will need the gunwales.

Back to watching the epoxy...
