The waiting mode continues... but has gotten considerably shorter. I received a delivery notice that the plane was delivered today! Of course, it is waiting for me in the apartment manager's office and they were closed by the time I got home today (shouldn't have stopped for groceries!). So, tomorrow I will get the package from the manager's office and get some idea of how much work it will take to tune and sharpen my new-to-me plane.
In the meantime... the bar clamps are "in transit" and are scheduled to be delivered on Friday.
That suggests I may be able to glue up the foil blanks this weekend, although quite a few things need to fall into place for that to happen. The plane would have to be tuned and sharpened - and there are supplies to buy and more reading to do before I am ready for that. The work bench/table would not absolutely have to be done - but that would be great! I realized last night that I either have to find the charger for my drill or buy a replacement. I need that drill to build the work bench (yes, I have other tools and, yes, I could build the work bench without a cordless drill).
Maybe I should get to getting on with some of these mundane, but necessary, tasks so that I will be ready to start gluing soon.
